The book "Handbook to Higher Consciousness" by Ken Keyes Jr. offers readers a practical guide to personal growth and spiritual development. It will provide tools for self awareness, a step-by-step outline to higher consciousness, practical wisdom, and transformational guidance.
Overall we at the studio and the book aim to empower individuals to take control of their inner lives, cultivate greater awareness, and live more consciously in alignment with their true values and aspirations.
We will be meeting once a week on Sundays from 5:00-6:00pm-ish for 5 weeks starting August 4th.

Cacao Ceremony
In a ceremony setting, we will all have an opportunity to set our own personal intention and also to share with the group. I will guide us all into a meditation where we can ground in to Mother Earth and set this intention from our heart. There will be a short talk on the origins of cacao before the meditation where any questions may be asked. After we drink the cacao ( 100% organic with cashew milk, maple syrup sweetened) we will open up community circle to share our hearts with one another. Afterwards we will do a short somatic dance exercise to integrate all the wisdom coming through into the body. We will end the ceremony with another short grounding meditation.

What to bring: Mug, a reusable vessel of water and something for the altar
Essentially, cacao is chocolate in its purest form. It grows on trees in pods and once opened you separate the fruit from the beans. The beans are then fermented and sun-dried to make ceremonial grade cacao. Cacao has been used for thousands of years in Aztec and Mayan cultures as a way to connect to ones heart, personal healing intention, and community. Cacao contains anandamide which is known as the “bliss molecule” and PEA which is know as the love chemical. It promotes feelings of euphoria, open heartedness, connection, love, and overall feel good. Cacao also boosts, dopamine and serotonin production. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals, and is also the highest source of magnesium.🌀

More about the Doctor:
Hi! Matt Rieder here. I’ve been a physical therapist for 15 years. I love running, climbing, hiking, scuba diving for giant shark teeth, and, of course, yoga. I stumbled onto the practice just over two years ago at our local climbing gym and was instantly hooked. I’m looking forward to answering any questions about movement, how the body works, mobility, stability, proper form, or anything else you can think up. Go ahead and try to stump me. I love a challenge! I think we can all learn something new and have a lot of fun along the way.
My wife, Sandy, has been a registered nurse for 25 years and has recently become certified as a transformative nurse coach. Her specialty is helping people achieve “ah-ha!” moments that allow them to overcome the things that hold them back in life. She works with moms, business owners, moms who are business owners, and lots of other people to make positive changes in health habits, family relationships, work-related challenges, and their relationship with their inner selves.

Do I need prior experience in yoga or paddling?
No prior experience is necessary. Our instructor, Elorah can cater to all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
What should I bring with me?
We recommend bringing comfortable clothing for yoga, swimwear, sunscreen, a water bottle, and any personal items you may need for a two night stay. All paddling equipment will be provided unless you wish to bring your own. If you bring own kayak then must bring PFD and paddle.
Are accommodations included?
On-site lodging at a gorgeous waterfront home is included. Prices vary by private or shared rooms and bed size. For all packages see this link.
Is transportation provided to the retreat location?
Participants are responsible for their transportation to the retreat site. However, we can provide guidance on nearby airports and shuttle services.

I will guide us all into a meditation where we can ground in to Mother Earth and set this intention from our heart. There will be a short talk on the origins of cacao before the meditation where any questions may be asked. After we drink the cacao ( 100% organic with cashew milk, maple syrup sweetened) we will open up community circle to share our hearts with one another. Afterwards we will do a short somatic dance exercise to integrate all the wisdom coming through into the body. We will end the ceremony with another short grounding meditation.

What to bring: Reusable vessel of water and something for the altar
Essentially, cacao is chocolate in its purest form. It grows on trees in pods and once opened you separate the fruit from the beans. The beans are then fermented and sun-dried to make ceremonial grade cacao. Cacao has been used for thousands of years in Aztec and Mayan cultures as a way to connect to ones heart, personal healing intention, and community. Cacao contains anandamide which is known as the “bliss molecule” and PEA which is know as the love chemical. It promotes feelings of euphoria, open heartedness, connection, love, and overall feel good. Cacao also boosts, dopamine and serotonin production. It is loaded with vitamins and minerals, and is also the highest source of magnesium.🌀

The new moon is the perfect time to turn inward with yin yoga. This 90 minute offering will guide you through a gentle & meditative yin practice, accompanied by reiki energy healing and live ambient guitar. You will also get a crystal tower to take home, a perfect addition for your altar or home meditation. It’s absolutely vital that we make the time for self care, as healing ourselves is the most significant thing we can do to help heal the world.

About the instructors:
Hi, I’m Steffanie and I am honored to be a part of your wellness journey. I dabbled in yoga in my teens and early twenties, but nothing really stuck. I always knew I wanted to be in a helping profession, so I earned my Master’s in Psychology in 2006. While working with a wide range of individuals in the mental health field, I personally struggled with anxiety, depression and an overall lack of mindfulness. During one of the first times I practiced Ashtanga with Brittney Crosby, I was able to find a moment (just a moment) of stillness. A moment where my over active mind stopped… and just focused on my breath and the present moment. I continued practicing Ashtanga, because I wanted to continue to heal myself, and others. I received my Reiki II attunement in 2014, but yearned for more. I decided to pursue my 200-hour yoga teacher training. To say that training was transformative would be an understatement. It came at the exact right time in my life. It confirmed my love for yoga and gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to help others on their self-healing journey. I earned my 200-hour YTT certificate in 2017, and immediately jumped into 300-hour YTT, which was completed in 2018. I will always see myself as a student, and as I continue to study and practice, it would be my greatest privilege to be a part of your healing journey.
